It will come as no surprise to you, or maybe it will, that the humble ladder is very important. We can find ladders in use everywhere. Just think about it for a second. Where would firemen be without their ladder, no more rescuing cats from trees that is for sure! Barely a day goes buy when we don’t read about brilliant rescues carried out by the fire services. The unsung hero in many cases is that humble ladder.
Ladders don’t just deal with the spectacular either, no, they can have some unexpected mundane uses too. Maybe you could use them as a permanent feature in your garden, you will be surprised how well a ladder can pretend to be a trellis for your plants to grow up! Think that is all the ladder can do, you are wrong! Lay it down in your flower bed and you have a ready made sectioning device to keep your flowers neatly in compartments.

Many folding ladders come with a length of board for making a platform for standing on. Adjust the platform down a bit and your ladder is a ready made table. Now I don’t expect you to have your next dinner party on your ladder table. However if you are decorating and have your furniture covered you will be happy for the temporary table your folding ladder can provide.
If you have chosen an attractive aluminium ladder or maybe you have an old one and access to some paint there is another great use. You could use it as a to hang your pots and pans in the kitchen. Hang it from the ceiling then attach a few hooks and you are away. Another unexpected use of the humble ladder. You can do the same in the garage, ready made hanging storage is just a few screws away.
